The next Avatar series arrives on 9 October 2026
Avatar: Seven Havens is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ on 9 October 2026. The animated series continues the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender after The Legend of Korra and introduces a young Earthbender who discovers that she is the next Avatar.

The new Avatar is hunted by both human and spirit enemies. According to the current synopsis, she must reunite with a long-lost twin, uncover their origins and prevent the remaining havens from collapsing.
The twin premise naturally raises questions about identity and the Avatar cycle, but the announcement does not confirm two Avatars or a divided set of powers. Treating either idea as established would turn a fan theory into a plot fact. For now, the confirmed story contains one named new Avatar and two sisters whose shared history remains hidden.
Pavi leads the announced voice cast
TheWrap identifies Saheli Khan as Pavi, the new Avatar. The announced cast also includes Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin and Dianne Doan as Zi.
Dee Bradley Baker voices Geet and Ruhi. Baker has a long history with the franchise, including animal and creature performances in the earlier animated series. The cast list confirms character names, but it does not yet explain every alliance, family connection or role in the Seven Havens.
The original Avatar creators are running the series
Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, are co-creators and executive producers of Seven Havens. Ethan Spaulding is an executive producer, and Sehaj Sethi is a co-executive producer.
The production comes from Nickelodeon and Avatar Studios and continues in 2D animation. The first-look art deliberately gave the new era a different visual language while keeping recognisable bending, spirits and creature design. A changed art style is a creative direction, not evidence that the series belongs to a different continuity.
The 26-episode order is clearer than the release pattern
Nickelodeon's original announcement ordered 26 half-hour episodes across two books. A.V. Club's current report says the first 13 episodes begin streaming on 9 October. Other early coverage described all 26 episodes without clearly separating the total order from the first release.

The close announcements make search results easy to mix up. The Aang film continues familiar characters. Seven Havens advances the Avatar cycle beyond Korra. Neither project is James Cameron's Avatar film series, and neither is the Netflix live-action retelling of Aang's original journey.
The teaser confirms tone, not the missing history
The first teaser establishes a fractured setting, a new Earthbender protagonist and the fear surrounding the Avatar title. It also gives viewers a first look at the series' colour, movement and character design. Promotional footage can confirm what appears on screen, but it cannot fill gaps that the story has deliberately left closed.
The teaser does not explain what happened to Korra, who caused the cataclysm, why the Avatar is blamed or whether the seven havens correspond to former nations. Claims answering those questions remain theories unless Nickelodeon, Avatar Studios or an episode provides the missing evidence.
You do not need the new film to understand the sequence
For the simplest viewing order, watch Avatar: The Last Airbender before The Legend of Korra, then continue to Seven Havens. The Aang feature expands the earlier generation and may add useful world history, but Paramount presents Seven Havens as the sequel series after Korra rather than as a direct continuation of the film's plot.
Comics and novels contain additional stories, yet a television series aimed at a broad Paramount+ audience should still introduce the facts needed for its main conflict. New viewers may miss references, but they should not need to complete every tie-in publication simply to identify the new Avatar.
